About Lighthouse Christian Academy

Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) is a co-educational, college-preparatory Christian high school located in Santa Monica. As a nonprofit institution, LCA is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that integrates academic excellence with strong moral and spiritual development.

LCA is an extension of Lighthouse Church School, which serves students in grades K–8. Both schools operate as ministries of Santa Monica Foursquare Church, creating a unified educational pathway grounded in faith and community.

Founded in 1983, Lighthouse Christian Academy was established by members of the church who sought an environment where students could grow academically while being rooted in Christian values. What began as a small, church-based homeschool program has since grown into a fully developed private school serving a diverse student body from across the broader community.

Campus & Growth

In 2004, the church acquired LCA’s current campus on Yale Street, providing the school with a dedicated space to expand its programs and facilities. Over the years, the campus has undergone continuous improvements to meet national accreditation standards and local educational requirements, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for all students.

Academic & International Programs

The school offers a variety of academic pathways designed to meet the needs of every student. Programs include individualized instruction through the PACE Learning System, which supports course acceleration, credit recovery, and flexible learning environments.

LCA also maintains a growing international presence, welcoming students from countries around the world—including China, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain, Finland, Thailand, and Brazil—fostering a culturally rich and globally aware student community.
